Pacific Fabrics has been operating since 1917.
I gotta ask, why didn't I visit this store sooner?!
Located in the SODO district, they currently claim themselves to be "Seattle's Largest Selection of Fabrics, Yarns, & Sewing Notions."
And I agree!!!
There is a staircase (& elevator available on Tues–Fri, 10:00a–02:30p) that leads up to the warehouse with an open concept. IT WAS HUGE!
They have so many fabrics types and selections of supplies. This is a perfect place to go to see fabrics yourself and/or buy something in a pinch while supporting a local business!
They also host workshops so you can learn! I checked the price for an upcoming course at an Advanced Beginner Level for $80. They disclose any prerequisites and provide a supply list. They also give you a 20% discount on class supplies with your registration receipt, so that's nice!
MY FAVORITE THING ABOUT THIS BRAND:
They provide wide-format printing services for $5 per sheet. You can upload your patterns on the website and pick them up in person. I haven't used it yet, but definitely will!
